PLACING YOUR FIREARM ON CONSIGNMENT
Do you have a firearm you want to sell? We can help!
What do I need?
To consign a firearm with Springs Armory it must be; a firearm that you legally own, is complete and fully functional. When you come by the store, we will discuss with you our evaluation of value, taking into consideration the condition and any accessories. To maintain our store’s reputation of fair pricing, we will suggest a reasonable sale price. If you do not agree with the sale price, we will politely decline our service of consignment, and give you suggestions on alternative avenues. Once the sale price has been determined we will have you read, complete, and sign our consignment form and present a photo ID. Your firearm will then be processed into our inventory and placed on display.
How does it work?
Springs Armory will display the firearm for the contractual period of 90 days. The consignment firearm will be clearly labeled with price and notated that it is a consignment piece. A potential buyer may have questions and we will gladly contact the consignor to gather those answers. Anytime during this 90-day period you, the Consignor, can request a reduction in price. Springs Armory will conduct the required paperwork and background check on each sale. Once the sale is completed Springs Armory will deduct the total consignment fee from the proceeds, then contact the Consignor to pick up their remaining funds. (Please allow us 2 business days after the completed sale, as we need time to finalize all required paperwork).
What are your fees?
Springs Armory charges a flat fee of $45.00 for firearms with a sale price of $600 or less. Firearms over $600 will have a flat fee of $45 plus a 10% commission fee off the sale price (before taxes and background check).
IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE, rifles can be prominently displayed on our sales wall for an additional $10 fee.
Additional information
All firearms left with Springs Armory for consignment become part of our inventory. If you change your mind and wish to end the consignment before we are able to sell it (early termination), or the firearm did not sell in the 90-day period and is being retrieved, the consignor must pay Springs Armory $35.00 (plus any additional fees, like wall fee) for each firearm consigned that is to be removed. As a reminder, Federal Law requires the consignor MUST submit and pass a background check to regain possession of their firearm.
After three months storage fees will begin to accrue for the items consigned and will be deducted from any proceeds or added to the retrieval fee.
