LayawaYS & Special ORDERS


​Layaway: Yes, we do offer a layaway options on firearms and onsite NFA items!
     FIREARMS:

          Minimum amount required: Just 20% of the out-the-door price (price including background check,
          sales tax & excise tax)

          For how long: The layaway expires 60 days from the date it is started
          Payment requirements: We encourage regular payments, but they are not required. You may do
          payments of any amount at any time as long as they are done by the end of the 60 days
          Cancellation policy: If for any reason a customer wishes to cancel their layaway at any point, all of the
          money except for the 20% non-refundable deposit will be returned

     NFA items: MUST be an ONSITE item (no special orders or backorders)
          Minimum amount required: Just 25% of the out-the-door price (price including background check,
          sales tax & excise tax)

          For how long: The layaway expires 60 days from the date it is started
          Payment requirements: We encourage regular payments, but they are not required. You may do
          payments of any amount at any time as long as they are done by the end of the 60 days
          Cancellation policy: If for any reason a customer wishes to cancel their layaway at any point, all of the
          money except for the 25% non-refundable deposit will be returned
          
Form 4 Filing: We highly encourage you to utilize Silencer Shop for your Form 4 filing.                                              Your Form 4 process will not proceed until your item is paid in FULL. We will NOT attach your NFA item                to your Silencer Shop account until the NFA layaway is paid in FULL. If you elect to file via paper, we will              not disclose your serial number until the item is paid in FULL.

Special Orders: Yes, we are more than happy to special order any accessories or firearms that our                          distributors carry, that is not currently in our physical (on-site) inventory. 
   
Accessories & FIREARMS:
          Minimum amount required: Just 20% of the out-the-door price (price including background check and
          sales tax)
          For how long: We normally predict 7-10 business days maximum for the orders to come in.
          Of course, times vary depending on the distributor location and weather! Once it comes in, the customer            has 30 days to pick it up before it is returned to the sales floor.
          Payment requirements: At the time of ordering we ask for a minimum of 20%, but more will be
          accepted if one chooses to pay more. As long as the firearm is what the customer was wanting, we will
​          collect the final amount after background check has been run when they come to pick up.

          Cancellation policy: If a customer wishes to cancel their special order and does so within 2 weeks
          from the date of initial order, all of the funds will be refunded except for the 20% non-refundable
          deposit.
          Additional Special Order Policies for Firearms: Springs Armory will call when when the firearm(s) arrives              and the customer will have 2 weeks to initiate a background check or will accrue storage fees of $1 per                day per firearm, until a background check is initiated. Once a background check is submitted for a                        special order firearm(s) the customer will have 2 weeks to pick up or will accrue storage fees of $1 per                day per firearm until the background check expires (30 days after BGC submitted). Once the BGC has
          expired the firearm(s) will be returned to sales floor and the 20% initial deposit will be forfeited. 

   NFA items:
          Minimum amount required: NFA items must be Paid in Full at the time of the special order
         
Cancellation policy: Once the order is made any changes or cancelling of the purchase will result in a                    restocking fee of 25% of the purchase amount and you must notify Springs Armory of this change prior              to them attaching the order to a Silencer Shop account.  
          Additional Special Order Policies for NFA Items: Upon arrival of the NFA item, Springs Armory will                        immediately attach the NFA item to the customer's Silencer Shop account via the email address on file                (It is crucial to make sure that the email is accurate and the same with Silencer Shop, Springs Armory &              the ATF to prevent any delays in processing). It will be the customer's responsibility to monitor their                    email for further instruction on their next steps.

Common Questions

          "What are my options for payment?" We accept cash, debit, credit, our in store gift cards, and select
          visa 
gift cards (if they have a pin). Everything in our store is displayed at our 3% cash discount price
          meaning 
that any credit payments or payments over the phone will not qualify for the discounted price.
          For this reason, we always encourage debit or cash to help our customers save more money!

          "What if my background check gets denied when I go to pick it up?" If a customer is denied, they will
          be given a form to appeal. The appeal takes up to 30 days and if our customer still wishes to get the gun,
          we will extend their layaway by 30 days so that they have time to hear back from the appeal! However, if
​          the customer decides after their denial that they no longer want the firearm, we will refund the entire
          amount they placed down EXCEPT the background check fee of $15.00 (we get charged for it no matter
​          the outcome).


          "What if I place a firearm on layaway/backorder and then later decide I actually want a different
          one?"
 
We can switch out the firearms, no problem! As long as at least 20% of the new firearm chosen is
          already 
down, we will not charge anything additional unless you wish to pay more money.

          "Can anyone else make payments towards my layaway?" We will not turn away people if they wish to 
          put money on someone else's layaway. Anyone can pay towards it, but only the customer that put the 
          firearm on layaway can pick it up unless special arrangements have been made.

          "Can I put a gun on layaway and have someone else pick it up?" It is possible, however depending on
          the situation, different steps need to be taken. We HIGHLY recommend calling or coming in and speaking
​          with us!

​          "Is it possible to do a layaway on a special order?" Yes, but only for firearms, not NFA items and you                     must notify us at the time you place your order that you would like to use the layaway option. All we do               is have you fill out our layaway form and then we attach it to your order form.
